Stillpoor, good point. My statement was admittedly a generalization, and therefore does not apply to all investors, regardless of whether they are new or experienced. And just to let you know, I am by no means a seasoned day-trader or wiley trading veteran of the stock market. My line of work is technical, so I tend to concentrate on facts and data. The facts and data about SLI continue to boggle my mind. Still searching for that one little tidbit that will prove the Tesoro is "too good to be true". Haven't found it, don't thiink I will. So I'll wait as long as it takes to get what we want for the Tesoro.
I don't know if you've seen me post my timeline in the past, but the last time I updated it, I was predicting the sale of the property by June, 2012. That's another 9 months 'til we would see any money in our pockets. That's just my opinion based on my observations of how slowly things have happened up to this point, and, based on my general industry experience. We could be in a pretty good spot by Christmas, but who knows, right? By predicting a June, 2012 finish line, my expectations are very low about timelines and it keeps me from getting worked up about things I have no control over. I'd be lying if I said I never get worked up about this stock. Like the rest of you, I experience the same range of emotions. But like the old bull who walks down the hill while the young bull runs, I'm betting the herd will still be there when we get to the bottom of the hill. No need to hurry, no need to get worked up. So, I'm thinking there's one more winter to go! If I'm wrong and it's sooner, great!
Appreciate the feedback, I don't mind being critiqued! I'm glad to see you're confident because I am too.
