I was always under the assumption that blocks from the dark pool never entered the main market. I thought they were done privately because they are usually very large blocks. These trades never meet our eyes. But, maybe now there are some of those being mingled into the regular trading platforms somehow? Trades today a lot of times appeared to be rerouted and kept away from the TSX, filling these orders at prices that were not "the best market price", which regular brokers try to get for their clients.
