While this is not Peru and you think somehow it would make Peru a more attractive place for foreign investment, that is not necessarily true. President Humala of Peru could very well face internal pressure to fall in line with many of his neighbours and exact similar legislation. It is a sign of increased risk in South American economies to foreign investors.
