Keep in mind, the opinions on this site are for the most part speculation and are not necessarily the opinions of the company WITHOUT PREJUDICE
I first will note that I was at the AGM and the following is my understanding of the facts brought forth during the presentation. I will attempt to bring clarity to some of the apparent confusion and incomplete truths through my recollection of the facts.
First: Increased communication from Lori and SLI in general in the form of news releases.
Many shareholders in attendance expressed a desire to receive more communications/updates from management.
It is true that Lori did acknowledge the shareholders frustration and was even understanding if not sympathetic to those frustrations and suggested that she will attempt to provide more information more often as a solution. It must be said that Lori went on to be CRYSTAL clear and ADAMANT that more news will not likely, if at all contain extra meaningful material information. Continuing on to make it CRYSTAL clear that the release of material information has never and will never be released in response to shareholder pressures. It will always be released in accordance to managements internal strategies. In light of this, I caution all shareholders to not raise expectations for an increase in substantial material informationand news...as it was VERY clear to me that it simply will not happen outside of the regular strategies being executed by management.
Second: Deep drilling piggy backing off the shallow drill program
The question "Will the deep drilling (1500m) be conducted using the holes created by the shallow drilling (500m)?"was asked very concisely by one of the shareholders during the Q&A
Lori's answer was equally as concise. "No, the deep drilling will not use the same holes and will be in an entirely new location" (however it was NOT said whether the "entirely new location" is 5ft or 5km from the shallow drilling location)
Third: Shallow and Deep Drilling Rigs...Onsite or Offsite? Timelines? Number of Rigs and Why.
It was made crystal clear to me that there is one Shallow Drill Rig (Dynacor) onsite currently and that while there are other shallow drill rigs available in the region...there is only one REPUTABLE/RELIABLE provider available due to supply and demand pressures on all gold mining and exploration services in the region. In light of this...it is the decision of management to use only reputable service providers even if it impacts timelines in order to "Do it right or not at all"
There are NO deep drilling rigs on the site at the moment, and there is only one REPUTABLE deep drilling rig in the region that will be available in the foreseeable future, one owned by a company named Bradley. It also is affected by the pressures of supply and demand for service provders in the region and will be on site as soon as possible but NO DEFINITIVE timeline on it's arrival.
It was also noted that due to the demand pressures of services Lori confirmed that it has already been arranged that the Shallow Drill rigs will remain on the property after the Shallow Drill program is complete to initiate further drilling on the property.
Forth: How far along is the Shallow Drill program?
When asked clearly by one of the shareholders if the Shallow Drill program was in fact 50% complete Lori's answer was clear and VERY purposefully non-commital..." No, it is not 50% complete, it is almost halfway complete, but NOT 50% complete"
when pressed by the question "so is it 45% or 40%?" Lori clearly answered "It is almost halfway complete." Ensuring that she remain non-commital to any definitive timeline.
In conclusion..
While these are clearly statements from only my recollection, I am extremely confident that they are factual and without prejudice.
