I still think that if the majority of members at the meeting wanted Lori to have the drills assayed before the surface trenching, then the majority at the meeting that apparently overwhelmingly voted for it influenced her decision over the objections of the two geologists. If anyone at the meeting can confirm this, then why wouldn't the two resign under such circumstances? Remember at that time her options were withdrawn and she wanted approval of the shareholders in the future. If she had gone against the shareholders the board would have gone ballistic at that time, accusing her of not listening, ignoring their wishes etc. Also given the short time at the meeting to respond there was no time to give reasons why the surface sampling priority could be discussed, so everyone gave a knee jerk reaction to her question.
For such an important decision: 1. The question shouldn't have been brought up, and thoroughly discussed by the directors and 2. If the geologists wanted the surface results first, they are the experts and a full release of the reasons could be given to the shareholders and most, but certainly not all would be satisfied.
Easy to think in retrospect.
Also if they had already given their notice, did anyone help her with the news release?
I wonder why some posters still think she was the perpetrator of all this for her own gain, when she has so much at stake and when they are still in a blackout.
I had a stock that is not going to go up much or down for awhile so I sold it and bought SLI this morning. I would think the deep drills will immediately target the known anomaly rather than the one we don't know anything about on the eastern side of Tesoro. Then our brains will forget all about this nightmare in a hurry!
