Keep in mind, the opinions on this site are for the most part speculation and are not necessarily the opinions of the company WITHOUT PREJUDICE
From jw83jw: "All we need is for one of the majors to think there is a huge gold ore body and they will try to lock it up at a cheap price. I think that's $5 to $10 per share in value to us."
It seems the theme tonight is $10/share would be a steal for any major but would be an offer shareholders of SLI might grudgingly accept at this point.
You realize that $10/share translates into a 1.2 billion dollar buy out, right? The largest gold find in the last ten years was argueably Aurelian and it sold for about 500mil. XRC currently has a 60 mil ounce gold equivalent resource in the proven and probable category and as of today the market values that deposit at 289mil. Logically, does anyone here really think SLI's unproven property is worth 4 times the price of XRC's proven 60 mil ounce deposit? Do you think a major gold producer wouldn't know it too?
jw83jw also said: "it's Sculp and Mr Hobbes and Hog all pointing out the previous "factual" drilling report numbers."
I do hope the above "driling report numbers" is a typo or a mistake, because there are no "previous 'factual' drilling report numbers." Current drilling is the first Tesoro has seen.
