Common GPS is accurate from 3 to 30 feet while the the most sophisticated, limited to the military, is the WAAS, Wide Area Augmentation System which is down to 3 to 4.5 feet both horizontal and vertical. Maybe 1000 shots on a 1 mile grid might narrow it down to a 2 inch hole location but I doubt it. My opinion only.
