Why aren't we drilling the ovoid?

I still don't understand why we aren't drilling the ovoid.

Seeing where the share price is now, I'm even more convinced we should be punching as many holes as we can afford through it, while we still can. Whatever the plan was, is flawed. Why are we putting all this focus on all these other holes when the ovoid is supposed to be what will take this thing to the moon?
