I, like others on this forum, have little to no mining experience. As such I am unclear on the meaning of certain sample results. For example the latest release from SLI/IGD states:
"Three of these samples tested more than 0.3 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, St Elias said. Sample CN-52, for example, returned 0.31 g/t gold, while sample CH-54, a 10-centimetre channel sample, assayed 8.27 g/t gold. " Dated 19 Sept. 2012 http://steliasmines.com/newsrelease/
The length of the sample in reported results differ from sample to sample. As is the case for earlier results reported on the Tesoro project. Some of which showed very short "intercepts", thus the huge drop in SP directly following those results. This leaves me asking the questions:
Was the entire core sampled?
Where are the results for the rest of the core?
Are they bad or good?
Is this not material information that must be released to the investors?
PLEASE DON'T GUESS AS TO THE ANSWER TO THESE QUESTIONS. We are all looking for real answers to some real questions.
TIA
