Hello,
This below appears to be new info to this board and me on the IP Vein, or at least it hasnt been on this board for a long while. Either way, I believe it important, so here is a few comments on this.
As you see below, this vein and the other ones mentioned, which are also very important, are at the south end of the Tesoro, near Chance E. I will also take the opportunity at this time to impliment a coment made by Mikxx one time. Mikxx questioned why Lori and IGD would drop the option on Cueva Blanca, which had a resource estimate of roughly 200,000 ounces of gold and 900,000 ounces of silver, and keep the Chance E where there were only ever a couple little samples taken from the Chance E which really said little in what Chance E may contain. So this is very interesting, for IGD to drop a property that had a resource estimate of substantial value and retain a property that had little established value. One can surely speculate on what the reasons for this kind of strategy would be.
Back to the IP Vein, this info came from 2008, and I will not post a link to the source, if there is any at this time, because there appears that some links to historic data are being broken. I believe it has been fortunate for us in the past to copy the actual data instead of just retaining the links, then there is little to no risk of losing data should links become inoperable.
This sentence; "Follow-up exploration has also identified additional veins with greater than 1.0 oz/t gold assays in other parts of Zona Incognito which warrant further investigation." also shows that there are high grade veins in that area, a little higher than I had thought before and more of them. Although sketchy, I do treat this 2008 info as additional info at this time, or it is possible I have seen it before, but have just forgotten it because of the mass amount of data I have looked at, nevertheless, I deem it important at this time to show the importance of another area of the Tesoro we hardly ever hear info from. I might add, the geophysics for that area look really good as well, seemingly corresponding to copper and sulfides found in that area. Again, you can clearly see the economics of these veins and a considerable near surface width of the IP Vein. I will also convey, that the likely reason for the 0-8m level assays below not being impressive, was because the informales had taken this section of the ore out already, as you go deeper, to the harder areas of the pit, you see the grade climb because more of the ore must have been intact to sample better. I will also take the opportunity to quote Lori from the Calgary meeting of 2012, " drill and kill it doesn,t work in our case, its NOW ECONOMICAL to mine even if we don,t hit anything". She was referring to further drilling on the Tesoro with the last part of that quote. I also remember Jeff calling me last year around the summer and saying, " Rick, listen to me, the veins are narrow and are UNECONOMICAL to mine." LOL.
"IP-1 Vein, Zona Incognito
The Company is continuing a program of follow-up exploration to evaluate anomalies obtained during reconnaissance in 2005. Recent exploration has focused on the IP-1 Vein at Zona Incognito. The IP-1 Vein is exposed in a deep (20m) pit located some 5 kilometers south-southeast of Zona Canchete. Recently, ladders were installed in the IP-1 pit so that it could be sampled in detail. Although near-surface (surface to 8m level) assays were not impressive (average 0.1 oz/t gold in eight samples), 21 samples collected between the 8m and 20m levels returned an average grade of 1.12 oz/t gold (median grade 0.64 oz/t gold, maximum grade 5.95 oz/t gold). The vein has an average width of 14.0 cm and ranges up to 45.0 cm wide."
