Welcome to the board mom 1!

First off I will openly admit that I had tears in my eyes when I read your post. To see this type of dedication and devotion to the cause of shareholders standing up for their rights, gave me great satisfaction and joy, hence, tears of joy. I thank you so much, mom1, for this excellent show of your strength and part of this amazing family!

It takes me once again to how our rights seem not to be free, and how we must pay to secure and uphold them ourselves. So, under our constitution, a voting right should be free, yet here we are paying for them and are still not assured that after paying so much, that we will be able to secure our rights. Its absurd when one has to buy their own votes, and even more absurd if they are unable to buy their own votes and secure that aspect of their constitutional freedom in this supposedly politically correct country.

There are many things wrong with our society here in Canada, and God knows we are discovering so many aspects of it that seem illusionary and does not offer the protection to citizens as Acts, regulations, etc imply. We are in great time of change and I take it as a plus that others around the world are realizing just how wrong things really are. When you see the very people that are supposed to be protecting us and upholding our rights, involved in corruption, I guess it becomes easy to see why the false protection cannot be offered to average citizens and they are easily taken advantage of. As more and more of these corrupt are revealed, its cleaning the system and does offer a glimmer of hope for our society and perhaps better protection in the future. Transparency and public awareness is the key, corruption cannot survive if it is revealed. Corruption uses intimidation, bribes, lies, abuse and positioning of power, among many other things, these are their tools, when their tools are taken away and made known to a public, corruption cannot exist.

To see lawyers involved in cases with rights issues, and to see these very lawyers arguing with any interpretation of the laws they can to free their clients that may be trying to take advantage of ones rights, is disgusting as well. To me, it shows just how conditioned these lawyers are, to not look outside the box and see how their actions may be hurting many by fighting for something only to obtain money and satisfaction that they win a case to perhaps get their names in the lights. The lawyer becomes a selfish supporter of a rights denial in some cases, and he/she fails to follow what they know is right, they look for ways to justify their actions within their interpretations, that perhaps help them sleep better at night and lifts any burden off their conscience. I am not saying all lawyers are bad, there are good ones that have morals, I guess I am just saying, that the most successful ones in a sense of being highest paid, are desired by corruption, because corruption usually has big dollars and this becomes attractive to some lawyers, where they will forget any morals or ethics, just to pursue that fantastic dollar, in which will grant them their satisfaction at the cost of many others. The higher the stakes, the more greed infiltrates the lawyers mind, and in turn makes him to take more risk to ensure a win. Sometimes the stakes can be so high that dollar signs cloud the visions of these type of lawyers and morals and ethics are lost.

The above commentary on societal behaviour is generic and does not in any way imply or incinuate any aspect of our current case, merely a statement of generic fact.
