Just wanted to give you a little information on interpreting sections like this and the movement of electrical current in the ground.
When carrying out a DC/IP survey you inject electricty at specifc intervals along a survey line. You measure the response at nieghboring dipoles to interpret the rate of decay and therefore the chargeability of the ground underneath.
when the current cant penetrate a certain assemblage or if the inversion of data is overwhelmed with negative phase values - what is called an inversion artifact is produced.
Very small amounts of energy are put in the ground and milivolts are collected and analyzed at the receivers. From the data I have reviewed [all lines from both surveys in the domain] you can easily see that there was insufficient energy to penetrate below 200-250m at Tesoro with the DCIP.
Keep in mind that St Elias also acquired MT data . as the MT is passive and doesnt rely on energy bebing forced it can more confidently project what structures exist at depths around 600m
