I believe we are waiting for an EIS on Tesoro, but it is also my belief, that exploration work does not have to stop while waiting for these EIS,s.

In fall 2010, an Environmental Impact Study was completed at the Vilcoro and the Ministerio de Energia y Minas (Ministry of Energy and Mines) subsequently granted a permit to allow drilling on the Vilcoro Gold Property. Drilling is planned for spring 2011.

In July 2013, the company said it was seeking an EIS for Tesoro. To my knowledge, these EIS,s had a 2 year validity. That may leave the Vilcoro needing one as well as the Tesoro. Although, as mentioned above, I understand that companies can carry on work as they are waiting for approval of their EIS,s.
