Sculipin :Perhaps some public documentation as to why they stopped mining it?

The property in question Sculpin, Vueltas del Rio, was held by Milagro Minerals (formerly Melinga resources) who merged with Geomaque Resources in Sep. 1996 who in turn amalgamated in June 2003 with Defiance Mining Corp. So Defiance was the last Co. to own the property.

In their New Release dated Feb 5 2004, concerning the closure of the mine, they state "The Vueltas mine was scheduled to complete mining activity in mid 2004.Defiance will now end mining in March 2004 once the oxide and transition ore is exhausted. The Company will not attempt to mine the sulfide ore, which would of added 2 to 3 months of production as it no longer believes that this ore can be mined economically" .... "once mining ceases in early March leaching of the ore remaining on the pads will continue until approximately the end of June"
