When considering class action there are a few things to keep in mind.

Law firms do not take on class action cases based on legal merits alone. They must compile a case which they feel can be won AND there must be a very significant settlement potential to cover fees, costs and profit AND the defendant(s) in the case MUST have the means to comply with any judgements should they lose. If any of those conditions do not exist...no firm would come near the case.

In light of this there would be only one logical path to be taken in a class action by any firm if they believe they have a winnable case...and that is a class action against any participating exchange or securities commission connected to the situation. Simply put they are the only entities large enough to pay any settlement or judgement against them so a case must be winnable against them.

Consider:

- A class action against the securities and exchanges would likely drag on many many years (large class actions have been know to drag 5, 10 and even more years).

- A class action against the securities and exchanges would not likely have any effect on the issues at hand with SLI at least not in the short or medium term. It is conceivable that a class action could trigger those parties investigating the company to start taking action in an effort to reduce their vulnerability (BCSC, TSX, RCMP, MP's, etc.)..but that may be wishful thinking.

- Good news is...if a law firm feels they would like to take on a class action...legal fees won't be required from the class(Plaintif) as the firm takes their fees as a portion of the settlement (similar to personal injury law...just on a much larger scale)

Do not take this as me being for or against class action...just simply some thoughts on things shareholders should expect and/or not expect from a class action.
