I Think there is an area between "criminal" and "justify", called fiduciary responsibility towards the shareholders of the company.
According to the company, SLI are an exploration and development gold mining company, and shareholders would rightly expect their actions to be commensurate with good corporate practice in that area, ie investing as much of the shareholder funds as possible into drilling in the ground, in rder to create shareholder value.
Sponsorship of the Curvy fashion Show in New York, would, I suggest, fall outside of the remit of a junior exploration gold miner in Peru.
When you look at the travel and promotion expenditure at the time, do you think that was sensible use of shareholder funds?
And if so, why?
May I ask you what you consider to be the most appropriate method of transport for a junior mining company employees travelling between cities served by fast and frequent airline sevices?
The options that immediately spring to mind are;
Which of those options do you think it appropriate for management of a junior mining company to use to travel between cities with a frequent service?
And are there any they shouldn't use, IYO?
