the ones that investigate why you lost your money, get paid as well. ( with the Chair of the BCSC receiving a yearly paycheque of around ~$ 500,000, I believe the Chair of the ASC gets around $700,000)

this is the jokey society we live in, do you wish to support it as much as you can? Perhaps next year the Chairs of the above named commissions will receive over a million a year for their work? Perhaps there is an unwritten law somewhere that we are not privy to, a law that states, "there must be no enforcement of stock market regulations, these regulations are only an illusion to fool the layman, if too many questions are asked, play dumb". the reasoning behind such a law may read something like this; "if we clean all the crooks out of the markets, we will no longer have a job,we must protect our interests at all costs."
