Very interesting,

Veins on the Tesoro run for kilometers and are mesothermal, meaning they run for kilimeters deep as well.We do know from historical data that there was a minimum of ~ 9 km,s of veins years ago. If we do simple math on this, for the gold to be gone, there had to be very extensive mining done.

One vein that hooks Dynacor,s vein in the valley, 800m below the Tesoro elevation, was followed and tested by Dyn acor right up to the Tesoro property line and looks as though it links into the C-3 vein. Dynacor got sample results from this veing, averaging around 27 g/t at surface, we have gone down 30 meters plus deep on this vein, with average grades deeper going into the ounces per ton.

A vein to our south mined by Chorunga since at least the ,70,s, has produced almost a million ounces, see below;

"Escobar and Mendoza (1994) comment that the San Juan de Chorunga vein in the Ocoña area has been worked intermittently since colonial times and continuously since 1970, processing 400 to 600 tonnes per day of mineralized vein material grading 4 to 5 grams per tonne gold. From this information, it can be calculated that the Ocoña Mine has produced a minimum of 650,000 ounces of gold between 1970 and 1994. Considering that the mine was active for some years after 1994, and that no credit is assigned for gold production in colonial times, the actual production is probably closer to a million ounces. "

Here is a little about the Dynacor veins of which one traced on surface, links to a Tesoro vein;

"The grade and tonnage of veins in the Nazca-Ocoño belt are not well documented in Peruvian literature, however, the website of Dynacor Mines Incorporated, a Canadian-based, Toronto-listed company (symbol DYN on the TSX.Venture Exchange), provides an indication of the tonnage- grade potential of one such vein system in the Acari area. Dynacor has been mining in the Acari District since 1998 and has been producing gold from their mill since 2003 from mineralization obtained not only from own property, but from material purchased from “informales”. The Dynacor mill (with both cyanuration and flotation circuits) had reported 60 tonnes of mineralized vein material per day processing since 1998 and has recently upgrades the facility to a 180 tonnes per day operation. Currently the plant operates at 65% capacity and Dynacor has announced intentions to incrementally increase capacity and Dynacor has forecasted between 7,000 – 9,000 ounces production in Q3 2010 (Dynacor Website, August 2010). According to information on the website, an independent audit of inferred gold resources has confirmed 1.45 million tonnes grading 16.4 g/t gold, adding up to almost 607,000 ounces of gold in 3 veins varying in length between 1,200-1,600 meters and in width between 0.35 and 0.40 meters. This reserve is based on only 3 of 10 gold-bearing veins that are known on this 800-hectare property."
