Roos:
I'm going to share a beer or six with Jim - probably on Monday at PDAC.
I've already chatted with him, and he is very excited about McFauld's east. He hasn't given me any insider information, but he is strongly speculating that there is signifcant chromite on his UC-SPQ-KWG JV lands - significant chromite. Note: he is speculating too. He needs more data. But he's got his "geo's nose", which I think is sometimes better than the drill bit.
When I chatted with him at the Cambridge conference in Vancouver, he was a little "bummed out" about some of the VMS drill results. I should note that at that time, he didn't mention anything about chromite. Now this.
So I can only guess that he is "seeing" something 'new' from the maps he has. Unfortunately, he can't share this map information because UC and SPQ-KWG agreed to - some time ago - not to share map info about the JV claims with retail investors. Sorry, that's just the way it is.
But this is real interesting speculation. And, based on this speculation, he is doing ground geophysics specifically for chromite. Something to do with the "hanging wall" - which of course is one place where FWR is also drilling.
UC is early in their "chromite game" but their entrance may augur extremely well for not only UC but also their JV partners SPQ & KWG.
