Good morning Hoov my friend: As usual, absolutely correct. The loaded concentrate must have further processing. In this form it is the safest way to transport Gold, since no casual theft would have the means of processing it, or the contacts to have it done.

Mines, such as La Yesca, are so relatively isolated and have limited access on unimproved roads, that they are easily hijacked. Extremely slow traffic, especially on the turn backs, or steep climbs..

For ores such as La Yesca, the Merill Crowe proces is probably the best solution readily available. An excellent simplified article that explains the process is ->

All mills in Mexico must devote a certan percentage of the production capacity to outside mines, this is for the small miners. However, meticulous records as to the origin of the ore / concentrates in what ever form must be accounted for.

In Cosala, I tried the Merill Crowe , but due to the various contaminates it wasn't too successful. so I developed a continous flow, stepped tank arrangement of 5 large tanks in a vertical arrangement utilizing the carbon process. I introduced the Preg Cyn solution into the lower tank along with the Zinc. As the soution passed up the effective column of Carbon it would be gradually be stripped of the precious metals until it was relatively clean upon exiting the upper tank.

It was a simple matter to move the carbon progresively from the lower tank to the last one on top and finally removing the loaded carbon from the circuit for further processing via hydraulic pressure / valving.

Hoov can explain how the carbon captures the gold via it's porous or vesicular structure . It is fascinating to look at it under a microscope, all of the little tubes are lined with Gold or Silver so that it appears to be a tublar mirror.
