Hello Friends...
For the third year in a row I have accepted the challenge of participating in the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Event. In late October I will be covering 39.3 miles in NYC to raise funds and awareness for a very personal cause, that has touched each and every one of us at some point in our lives.
This year, an estimated 40,000 women will die from breast cancer. A life is taken every 14 minutes. Another woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 3 minutes. An estimated three million women are living with breast cancer. One million of them don't yet know it.
In the last 2 years, with the generous help of my Agoracom family, I have raised over $25,000.00 for the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation. Our dollars have gone to breast cancer research, but more importantly, and something I am passionate about, they have provided early detection and treatment to those who lack the means and/or are underinsured.
Please take a moment to visit my site and to read my personal story. Consider making a donation in the memory of someone you love, who has been touched by this awful disease. Every dollar is so important. This year cancer has taken my father, it has tried to take my mother as well. My anger is fueling my determination to eradicate this deadly disease. Please join me.
Thank-you to George and Agoracom for your support and to the many here who year after year, give of their hearts, thoughts and financial resources. I appreciate it very much
