I was treading on delicate ground since to refuse was considered an insult, so I put on a sad face such as when Blue eyes turns me down for a hot date and miserably complained that an evil, inhuman, witch doctor had put a cruse on me so that I could never again ejoy kai kai, a cut of plump rump roast.

They all agreed that it was a horrible thing to do and excused me. So i munched on papayas, bananas, etc while they enjoyed some poor 17 year old gal for dinner.

Incidentally gals were cheaper then pigs then, and are almost indistinguishable in flavor.
