China announced, this morning, that a second man has died of avian flu. Officials are concerned about possible human to human transmission. The second victim was the father of the first victim, and officials are not aware that either of the men had contact with infected birds. Chinese health officials are searching for a common source for the infection, hoping that the virus has not mutated to allow human to human transmission, potentially sparking a worldwide pandemic.
