I don't recall anybody saying there was something wrong with selling your position whenever one wants to. Heck, I don't care how many people buy high and sell low. Be my guest.

I suspect that you know a lot more than you pretend to know, but just in case I am wrong, I will say that there are a lot of different "investment" styles, most of which are equally valid. If you want to sit around waiting for something to happen, that's cool.

However, I never really understood why someone claiming to not be long in the stock would ever be encouraging others to sell. It would seem to me that there would have to be some other motive for a person to encourage others to sell.

Maybe you can help me out here.
