back in 2005, i bought aurelian resources at a split-adjusted 12 cents per share. it ran way up, then came back down, and we all know how the story ended. but on that same day in december of 2005, i also bought some mag silver at 90 cents. (i had a really good day.)

mag silver found bonanza grades of silver next to the largest silver mine in the world, and it's in politically stable mexico. the stock ran all the way up to 17, and has since come down to the 4 range. today fresnillo offered to buy out mag at 4.52, a "generous" premium of almost 13%!

on the bright side, mag silver's management has not endorsed this as a "friendly" offer, at least not yet, but jonathan rubenstein is the chairman of the board. i'm starting to feel like a little black cloud is following me around, and i may have to make another video in which you-know-who throws a tantrum.
