It's not a matter of being contrary but i do not share that view,

China has the money , it's buying precious commodities for the future at a iscount price , it has the population with huge needes , it has a whole country to build out of the middle ages in som places , it has huge markets all around them all through asia laa of wich have huge needs as well in infrastucture as in basic needs and they made some preety wise decision concerning the development of alternativ energy wich they increased just recently .

Among some of the numerous deals they made for commodities , the most impressive and important relate to the imports and construction of pipline for oil and gas all through the region .

Consider now that oil price in 2-3 -5- or 7 years will go through the roof hitting numbers we hate to figure . Well China will be the best positioned to take advantage of the situation having now long terms agreement wih so many countries as stated in several previous posts right here .

Furthermore as the yuan will gain strenght towards the dollar the price of oil will relatively diminish for the chinese economy while in comparison to the US dollar it will grow .

I'd say don't bet against China for the long term , they've got the money .
