Absolute provides tracking software for laptops, notebooks, computers and smartphones. When a tracked device goes missing, Absolute can track it, pass the information to authorities and assist in the recovery. Main products are "Computrace" and "LoJack". Tracking coverage is sold on a yearly contract.

Marketing globally now, the company has found increasing acceptance since its start in 1993 and is now providing embedded software to Dell, Acer, ASUS, Fujitsu, Itronic, HP, Lenovo, Panasonic, Motion and Toshiba and has reseller partnerships with Apple and Best Buy.

As of June/09 Absolute had 4.1 contracts in effect; revenues increased 66% over the last three years; and so far in 09 has bought back 3.3 million shares.
