AMoscow court has prolonged the house arrest for the former CEO of Russia's Uralkali potash producing corporation.
The Basman District Court ruled on July 10 that Vladislav Baumgertner must remain under house arrest until October 14.
Baumgertner was arrested in Belarusian capital -- Minsk, in August last year, days after he withdrew his company from a joint venture with a Belarusian state company.
Belarusian authorities charged him with abuse of office and embezzlement and placed him under house arrest in Minsk.
A Moscow court later issued an order for Baumgertner's arrest on similar charges and demanded his extradition.
Belarus extradited Baumgertner to Russia in November after a change in Uralkali's ownership structure demanded by Minsk.
In December, Uralkali removed Baumgertner from his post as CEO, but did not remove him from the membership of director’s council.
