Noted. Production on solar cell batteries could take a hit; I suspect a price hike in the near future. This has to do with the metals and minerals necessary to manufacture batteries cells amongst other household and consumer equipment (like an lcd screen).

These are referred to Rare Earth Minerals or REE's (I cant explain that sorry...) Anyway though the name would suggest that they are rare they are actually not! You can find REE's in granite and lead concentrated areas and as you may know, these are quite abundant.

HOWEVER, the REE's are rare as excluding only a few areas of the planet, you cannot find them anywhere in concentrations which would allow mining the REE' to be economic. This creates anomie, as the North American Market alone requires 1 billion tonnes a year! Forget about china which is increasing its needs for these minerals.

There is a mining company in Ontario exploring the Thor Lake Area but likely won;t be able to produce for a couple of years. If supply can't increase and demand is growing this will cause a price discrepancy. That is anyone who does not have a prototype yet will slow down. Production costs might increase and that will have an inverse effect on R & D. Which could put a hault on the entire movement.

Overall you have to applaude APV. The past 18 months have showed steady growth and I am sure than 2010 will bring us great profits despite the rough summer. If you are trading and you lost some money I can sympathize but I feel that this company's fundamentals wouldn't allow a quick in and out. Most small caps take time and whilst the come with a degree of risk they also offer great possibilities for a return of your dreamS! I believe APV can be one of those companies.
