Ken Booth
President and Director
Mr. Booth's experience includes mining corporate finance and management of exploration and mining companies. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Booth worked for a junior gold mining company in corporate development and focused on the mining sector during a seven-year tenure at two of Canada's largest investment banks. Mr. Booth holds a geology degree and an MBA.
Ron Nichols
Vice President Exploration and Director
Mr. Nichols has been involved in the exploration sector for over thirty years. He has expertise in both project management and property generation from his work with junior and senior companies. Mr. Nichols spent 20 years with Cominco Ltd. before becoming a consulting geologist and eventually manager of several exploration companies. He has been involved with either the discovery or delineation of such deposits as Black Angel in Greenland and the Valley Copper and Snip mines in British Columbia.
Antonio Berlanga
Director
Mr. Berlanga is currently the CEO and General Director of Reyna Mining and Engineering SA de CV ("Reyna") which is a full service company capable of providing planning, construction and operational control of mining and milling projects in Mexico and is currently Aurcana's partner in the La Negra Mine. Mr. Berlanga's tenure in the resource sector include 6 years with Servicios Industriales Penoles, SA de CV ("Penoles") where he was superintendent of planning and construction for several of Penoles' operations between 1981 -- 1985, and 1993. From 1993 to 2001 he gained invaluable knowledge of the deposits and mines in Mexico while technical subdirector of Fideicomiso de Fomento Minero which is a state company promoting mining in Mexico as well as offering technical and financial assistance to mining companies. In addition, to the Mexican mining sector, Mr. Berlanga has gained experience in the Canadian junior mining industry though his membership with the PDAC and his involvement with a number of Canadian junior companies including Farallon SA de CV and Continuum. Mr. Berlanga is also the Past President of the Association of Mining, Metallurgical and Geological Engineers of Mexico and as a result has a vast list of contacts within the mining industry. The addition of Mr. Berlanga continues with Aurcana's strategy of focusing on Mexico for its future growth.
Robert Fischer
Director
Mr. Fischer is a businessman with more than 20 years experience in the transportation industry both in Canada and abroad and has held a number of senior management positions in the transportation sector. He is currently involved with projects in Canada, South America, Europe and Japan.
Brian Flower
Director
Mr. Flower is President of Trio International Capital and has 30 years of wide ranging business experience centred on mining and finance sectors. Within the mining sector Mr. Flower has been involved in exploration, project evaluation and development, strategic planning, marketing and finance. He is knowledgeable across an array of commodities: base, precious and specialty metals as well as industrial minerals, including coal and aggregates. Mr. Flower has extensive corporate, capital markets and international finance and trade experience. and he has held several senior management positions including CEO, CFO and vice-president of corporate development. He is currently an officer and/or director of a number of private and public companies with projects in Africa, South America, China and Australasia.
Ron Netolitzky
Director
Mr. Netolitzky has been very successful in mining exploration having been directly associated with three major gold discoveries in Canada that have subsequently been put into production: Eskay Creek, Snip and Brewery Creek. He is a director of several publicly traded exploration companies including Viceroy Exploration which is being acquired by an intermediate tier gold producer
Lenic Rodriguez
Director
Mr. Rodriguez is a Mexican businessman residing in Vancouver where he is a Managing Director of First Access Financial Group which provides trade credit financing to companies working in Mexico. Mr. Rodriguez holds a BA in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Systems from one of Mexico's top universities.
Teresa J.Gieselman
Corporate Secretary/Treasurer
Ms. Gieselman has 21 years experience with junior mining/exploration companies listed on the TSX, TSX Venture, OTCBB, NASDAQ and AMEX, in her role of chief financial officer, treasurer and corporate secretary. Ms. Gieselman's experience includes an extensive background in corporate and financial reporting and compliance for Canada and the US, financings, treasury, international corporate structures and financial reporting in Mexico, Peru, Chile and Brazil.
Salvador Huerto
Controller
Mr. Huerta was born in Mexico and finished his university degree as a Certified Public Accountant in Mexico. Previously he was Deputy President and CFO of manufacturing companies in Mexico such as TIMEX, HJ Heinz, ALFA Group and San Luis -- Rassini Automotive Group. He has several professional post graduate courses from IPADE (Harvard Business campus in Mexico), The Harvard Business School and The University of Hawaii. Salvador has served as a director on the advisory board of IME (Institute of Mexicans Abroad) and President of the Rotary Club of West Vancouver.
Grant J. Smith
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Smith is a Chartered Accountant and his background includes experience in both operating and exploration mining companies throughout North and South America . He brings audit experience from two of Vancouver 's highly respected audit and accounting firms and has audit experience in mining companies with reporting for TSX, TSX Venture and AMEX. His management background extents over 20 years and includes a diverse variety of operations and organizations.
