The company whose shareholders were better than its management
a: best option would have been to announce a sale over x period of time - use whatever excuse, ie buy a mansion, mistress, etc."
I've been there & I guarantee when there is a block for sale that well exceeds the daily volume everyone hears about it. The result is the stock will drift lower until a buyer is found. The same thing happens on the buy side only in reverse.
"b. 2nd best option - make a bulk sale at or above market price (NOT at a discount)"
The trade took place at the mkt. price. If he could have rec'd $8.30 we know that wud have been the mkt. price. The quoted mkt. is good for maybe 2,000 shs.
"c. sell partial amounts over a short period of time to max sale price."
Same problem as stated in a. above. PRICE WOULD DRIFT DOWN
