A while back I talked about how we had an advantage over Canadian located mines being that we were in Ecuador.  

Canadian juniors are faced with a narrowing spread between ALL their costs being in Canadian dollars (that have appreciated significantly over the past year) and their revenue being based in $US dollar priced gold.  Add to the mix doubling or tripling of Capital costs and significantly increasing operating costs and margins get very tight.

The advantage that we have in Ecuador is that we are in a low cost labour environment with a $US  structure.   Their is significantly less pressure on our spread than that of a Canadian company.   As the $US dollar drops we don't have to deal with as many of the currency exchange induced pressures on profits that a Canadian producer would.

Its one more thing I like about the ARU play and I'm sure it will come into play when the players try to figure out what their maximum bid will be for ARU.
