He doesn't need Acosta's support for that. The constitution goes to a national referendum in the fall. The people of Ecuador, not the assembly, will decide. Right now, it's looking more and more like it will be a referendum on Correa's leadership.

They're way behind in writing it BTW. I can't see how they'll get finished in time, so don't be surprised if they need an extension. I believe the mandate provides for 60 days. They're gonna need it, IMO.
