Cordero has already outlined the pattern to be followed by the Assembly to meet that deadline. He said the House should meet Monday through Saturday. The idea is that each meeting would last four hours, and in them they would expedite all items that were unapproved, which could reach 500, as Cordero announced.
You know, this is truly unbelievable. You've been elected to execute a task of historic importance - something that will bear your name, and on which your reputation will be made (or destroyed) for all time.
You'd think they'd rise to the occasion, wouldn't you?
If I was Cordero, here's what I'd say: People, go home, get a toothbrush and a sleeping bag and say goodbye to your family, because you're not going to see them again until this thing is finished! This is not some job where you punch a freaking time card. This is a social obligation of the first order! The kind you've all been talking about for months, and that the people goddamn elected you to do! So freakin' do it already! And anyone who isn't up to the task, no problem. You're fired. Get lost.
Seriously. What does it take?
