1st hole (RR10-1) was drilled at an angle (dip) of 45 degrees and an azimuth of 355 degrees. It was completed to a depth of 251.3 metres.
Hole RR10-1 is designed to confirm gold values received from previous Rainy River Resources (RR) drilling on the Burns Block.
A wide Zone of alteration (+50 metres) was identified that included sericite, silicification, and quartz veining. All core has now been sent to the assay lab for verification.
2nd hole (RR10-2) has been drilled to a depth of 401 metres. Hole RR10-2has an azimuth of 355 degrees and a dip of 65 degrees. Quartz veining has been intersected with greater than 50 metres of strong sericitic alteration of the volcanic host rocks with pyrite seen in abundance in the core.
All core is now being split and readied for shipment to the lab for analyzing for gold content.
A 3rd hole (RR10-3) is being collared today. Hole RR10-3 azimuth is 355 degrees and dip is 77 degrees. Hole RR10-3 will be drilled to an approx. length of 700 to 800 metres in an effort to establish proximity / strike of a second parallel gold bearing zone on the north side of the Burns Block property.
