Bayfield Ventures Corp. (TSX-V: BYV) is exploring for gold in the Rainy River and Red Lake districts of Northwestern Ontario. Property partners include Goldcorp.
Bayfield's "Burns" block property is surrounded by Rainy River Resources' property and adjoins the immediate east of the main Rainy River Resources' #17 and ODM gold zones.
In September 2008, Rainy River Resources intersected a 4.5 metre interval grading 7.34 g/t Au on Bayfield's "Burns" block located in the Richardson Township, Rainy River District of northwestern Ontario.
Bayfield also holds a 100% interest in two gold properties, claim blocks "B" and "C", and a 50% interest in a forth gold property, claim block "A", in the Rainy River district of northwestern Ontario. The properties are well located to the immediate east, west and southwest (respectively) of the Rainy River Resources #17, #433 and ODM gold zone discoveries.
The Company holds a 24.5% interest in the Baird property consisting of six claim units in the Red Lake gold camp of northwestern Ontario, 14 kilometres southwest of Goldcorp's operating gold mines. Goldcorp holds 51% interest in the Baird property.
