China Biologic Products, Inc., founded in 1971, based in Taian, Shandong, is a biopharmaceutical company that produces and manufactures plasma-based pharmaceutical products in China. Its principal product, Human Albumin, is used to increase blood volume and maintain plasma osmotic pressure. CBPO’s products also include Human Hepatitis B Immunoglobulin for Hepatitis B prevention and Human Immunoglobulin for bacteria or virus infection.
