vbell, I agree .... of course to achieve that improved price, they have to stop the exorbitant SGA spending and focus on organic growth ... as one poster has pointed out ... in this climate it is hard to get much of a premium on any company let alone a fair value ... unless someone was to make an exceptional offer I personally believe no amount is required to promote M&A activity and allocating the funds to increase reserves, by using the skills of the talent we have by drilling, would be far more effective ... of course there are always different agendas, but makes little sense to put yourself up for sale when it is a buyers market and you do not have to sell.
