Norman A Seckold
Non-Executive Chairman
Norman Seckold graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney in 1970. He has spent over 25 years in the full time management of natural resource companies, both in Australia and overseas.
Mr Seckold has been the Chairman and Director of a number of publicly listed companies including Moruya Gold Mines (1983) N.L., which acquired the Golden Reward heap leach gold deposit in South Dakota, USA, Pangea Resources Limited, which acquired and developed the Pauper's Dream gold mine in Montana, USA, Timberline Minerals, Inc. which acquired and completed a feasibility study for the development of the MacArthur copper deposit in Nevada, USA, Perseverance Corporation Limited, which discovered and developed the Nagambie gold mine in Victoria, Valdora Minerals N.L., which developed the Rustler's Roost gold mine in the Northern Territory and the Ballarat East Gold Mine in Victoria, Viking Gold Corporation, which discovered a high grade gold deposit in northern Sweden and Mogul Mining N.L., which drilled out the Magistral and Ocampo Gold deposits in Mexico. He was also the Chairman of Palmarejo Silver and Gold Corporation and Bolnisi Gold NL, which successfully merged with Coeur D'Alene Mines in 2007. Mr Seckold was Chairman and Director of San Anton Resource Corporation Inc which completed a Business Combination with Cerro Resources NL in September 2010.
Mr Seckold is currently Chairman and Director of Cockatoo Coal Limited, Augur Resources Ltd and Planet Gas Limited.
Anthony J McDonald
CEO and Managing Director
Anthony John McDonald, Tony LLB has been the Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Cerro Resources since 2010. Mr. McDonald served as Corporate Secretary of Cerro Resource from 1997 to March 30, 2007. Mr. McDonald was responsible for the administration of the non-geological aspects of its business. Mr. McDonald was admitted as a Solicitor in 1982 and has been in private legal practice in Brisbane since that time. He has been a Director, Secretary and/or Advisor to a number of listed and unlisted public companies involved in the various aspects of the mining industry and has been involved in the listing of a number of companies. He has been an Independent Non Executive Director of Planet Gas Ltd., since November 19, 2003. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Industrea Limited since November 14, 2007. Mr. McDonald served as a Director of Cerro Resources from 1996 to July 2001 and its Executive Director from 1996 to March 2007. Mr. McDonald graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Queensland University of Technology in 1981.
Craig J McPherson
CFO
Craig McPherson graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Prior to joining Cerro Resources, Mr McPherson spent 10 years in senior management positions as a chartered accountant. Over this time he developed extensive experience in areas of business, financial and strategic management. Mr McPherson was a Director of San Anton Resource Corporation Inc which completed a Business Combination with Cerro Resources NL in September 2010.
John Cook
Director
Mr Cook has been the President of Tormin Resources Limited, a private mining company, since May 1995 and was the former President and Chief Executive Officer of San Anton Resource Corporation from April 2008 until it completed a Business Combination with Cerro Resources NL in September 2010. Mr Cook graduated from Sheffield University in Mining Engineering in 1962 and has more than 45 years of experience in the mining industry.
Mr Cook is currently a director of Nord Resources Corporation Inc, FL Master Sherman Ltd, Homeland Uranium Inc, Southern Andes Energy Inc, GLR Resources Inc, MBMI Resources Inc and TB Mining Ventures Inc
Nicholas Tintor
Director
Mr Tintor is President and CEO of Homeland Uranium Inc and Southern Andes Energy Inc. He was a former director of San Anton Resource Corporation from December 2006 until it completed a Business Combination with Cerro Resources NL in September 2010. Mr Tintor graduated from the University of Toronto (B.Sc., Geology) and has more than 25 years of experience in the mining industry. He has been involved with all aspects of mining company management, finance and project acquisition.
Mr Tintor is currently a director of DNI Metals Inc, Homeland Uranium Inc and Southern Andes Energy Inc.
Richard Keevers
Director
Mr Keevers is a geologist by training, having held senior positions with BH South Limited and Newmont during his 20 years in the mining industry. Later he entered the stockbroking industry for 13 years, initially as a mining analyst, and then as a major shareholder and executive director of Pembroke Josephson Wright Limited, which business was sold to Hartley Poynton Limited in 1998. Today Mr. Keevers is Chairman and CEO of Electrometals Technologies Ltd, a Gold Coast based designer and manufacturer of electrowinning equipment for the recovery of metals in the mining, metals refining and industrial waste industries. Mr Keevers was a director of Pacrim Energy Ltd from November 1992 to February 2007 and Zicom Group Ltd from November 2004 to September 2007.
Robert Bell
Director
Bob Bell graduated from Birmingham University in 1960 and moved to Australia in 1964, working as a geologist on the Roma gas fields. After a time with the Queensland Government Mines Department in the late 1970’s he established his own consultancy business, specialising in oil and gas exploration in Australia and overseas. He was one of the first geologists in Australia to recognise the enormous potential of coalbed methane (CBM) in Queensland.
Bob Bell is currently a Non-Executive Director of Planet Gas Ltd.
James A Crombie
Executive Vice Chairman
Mr Crombie graduated from the Royal School of Mines, London, in 1980 with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mining Engineering, having been awarded an Anglo American scholarship.
Mr Crombie has held various positions with DeBeers Consolidated Mines and the Anglo American Corporation in South Africa and Anglo between 1980 and 1986. He spent the next thirteen years as a mining analyst and investment banker with Shepards, Merrill Lynch, James Capel & Co. and finally with Yorkton Securities. Mr Crombie was Vice President, Corporate Development of Hope Bay Mining Corporation Inc. from February 1999 through May 2002 and President and CEO of Ariane Gold Corp. from August 2002 to November 2003. He was President, CEO and a director of Palmarejo Silver and Gold Corporation until the merger with Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation. He was a director of Sherwood Copper Corporation until its business combination with Capstone Mining Corp.
Currently, Mr. Crombie is a director of Arian Silver Corporation, President, CEO and a director of Reunion Gold Corporation, Avala Resources, Sutter Gold and Odyssey Resources Limited. He is also CEO, Executive Vice Chairman, and Director of Queensland Minerals Limited.
John S Skeet
Chief Operating Officer
Mr Skeet is a Metallurgist with more than 20 years experience in the mining and resources sector.
Formerly Project Manager for Bolnisi Gold NL and managing the Palmarejo Silver and Gold Project prior to the successful merger with Coeur D’Alene, Mr Skeet has also been responsible for the successful development of Bolnisi’s gold heap leach operation in the Republic of Georgia and was the General Manager for Valdora Minerals NL’s projects and operations where he was responsible for the first gold production in the famous gold producing city of Ballarat, Victoria, in over 80 years.
He has significant and relevant experience with the types of projects Cerro Resources NL is developing and already has spent time working on both projects including time in Mexico at Cerro de Gallo.
