Congratulations on a spectacular bonus!  I had no idea that fund managers had the opportunity for such income!

In a previous post to Sharky you stated that you run one of your banks international funds with 30 Billion under management.  In this post you state that the return(yearly performance) on the fund you manage was 29% and that you will receive 1% of this increase in wealth as a bonus.  This comes to $87,000.000. ($30,000,000,000)*.29*.01)

It’s no wonder that the brightest and best these days are going into business and finance.  Why in the world would you want to major in one of the sciences where the starting salary for many of the newly graduated Phd’s are less than $60,000/yr., the annual pay increase is about 3%, and the opportunity for advancement  is relatively small?

Your bonus truly reflects pay for merit, rather than the cost of living increases that are camouflaged as merit increases by typical American management!
