After reading your previous post I can see why you prefer your style of trading. I only own stocks in 2 companies and both as a long position. I hold Royal Bank, which is the best of the financial sector, as it pays a good dividend and has had tremendous growth over the last 8 years.. The other is CLL,,long term cause I feel it will be over $20 once everything is finished in about 8 years. That's a good return in a short period of time...

However like you I also have an expensive hobby, so I do a little day trading when I get the urge to buy a new toy... I just do it differently.. RBC varies from $44- $52 and usually will swing about 2% over the course of the trading day. I'll buy 1000 sell it for .50 cents more the same day and presto, $500..That's where the $9.95 a trade comes in handy.

Same idea without all the expensive software.
