Hi Guys
Talking about the bank I was referring too .Bank is saved by goverments of Belgium ,Netherlands and Luxemburg.Spoken about their board members to give an example. This bank was the number one in these three countries .A high class very rich man living in the most exclusive city we have here was dreaming to become the greatest. So he would take over the ABN Amro bank though the crisis by then was already becoming in the market. He hold on and the result is that instead of becoming the greatest the bank is now for 49 % in hands of goverments probably payed by our tax money. If he has done nothing the bank was still in good condition probably with lower sp due to market sentiment but not close tp bankrupty like is was facing now.Lesson taken. Some guys become so arrogant that they are walking near their shoes and taking decissions which can cause big trouble.
I do not know the board of CLL but I only can rely on postings here .So far I can't say they do not a good job. After all the Algar deal in this situation was not a bad one .If they can built Algar in the same they did with POD 1 is also fine. The MRC plan is some doubtfull for me ,but I must say I do not know that much about refiners and margins.
But I agree totally with Jureks writing.
As a rule they are just the rubber stump the executive decisions, collect meeting fees and stock option and enjoy inside info to sell or buy the shares. The best retirement job you can get. It is good to see that in your opinion CLL board is different.
So that's why I have wrote a few times if we SEE the insiders buying then we can sleep on both ears.
I also do beleave they will succeed in the long run but how fast it will go is still a question.Sometimes one step in the wrong decission can cause great damage.See what happens to the bank I 'm referring .No one in Belgium has ever thought that a bank which makes good earnings ,has good reputation was brought to it's knees to survive. If board members are taking wrong steps and the markets (specially the short sellers) took an eye on it they can bring a good running company on it's knees.
