My post was not intended to be an all ringing endorsement of Steven Harper.

So, I am in an agreement that he has been inconsistent on some issues.

However, I certainly don't want to put my investment in Connacher in the hands of Jack Layton or Stephan Dion. Neither Layton nor Dion are supporting the oil sands in any way. And of course the Green Party would be an oil sands disaster.

So, as bc has said, the alternatives are extremely weak, and quite frankly, they would be a big threat to our investment.

Though I don't belong to a party, I would say that I have a strong leaning towards conservative policies.

Either bc is not going to vote or he may have to vote for Harper. However, I'm assuming that bc stands for British Columbia so maybe you will be voting for the Green Party.
