I took one reply to the off topic forum so as not to upset anyone.
However you speak here to some things I believe Sharky and others have previously discussed: The amount of money pouring off US printing presses, the state of the economy worldwide, and protectionism.
GE's CEO Jeff Immelt just came out against salary caps and protectionism. I've been reading warnings from all over the globe about citizens wanting their jobs to remain at home now, everyone's worried. Years ago I was taught an international economy would float all boats via the synergies, whereas every man for himself protectionism would keep everyone at a lower standard of living. Who's really to say?
Anyway, further discussion would probably be best suited to off topic. Just thought Mr. Immelt's words were relevant as everyone's under the gun here, including Connacher and some of us.
