Well Brian I searched a lot about that issue and probably like always the trueth is somewhat in between.

In Europe they made plans and also here in Belgium and certainly the Netherlands to highten the dikes with a few meters ,because if the polar ice cap will melt the water will rise .One of our coast cities Ostend is already in danger somehow like New Orleans .If a heavy NW storm with high tide will hit the dike the town could be flooded.

I believe that no experts are fools and temperature averages tend to go up .But if that's only due to CO2 alone and not with sun cycling heating that the question .But we can't deny there are facts that earth temperature is going up no matter the reason .So there must be done something.

But I don't agree that politics would use these event to raise new taxes. It's always the same in politics. They lower tax for some points but grab it back trough another door and under another name.

If the world leaders will change human behavior in a more proper way I can live with that.Standing still on technics is not good and new techs create new jobs and that's what we need but it will take time.THerefore at some point I can understand Obama's view that helping the automotive industry for building on and on the same engines is not a good solution. We too face here the shut down of Opel's plant in Antwerp which is in fact a part of GM.There are to many cars in the world.

If we like it or not and for sure the yound guys after us will pay the price of the ridiculous behavior of the banking sector in her serch for more and more gains. The stock market IMO has reached his point of excess in 2008.And it will take long time to resolve that problem.Sadly enough it's our generation who witnessed the collapse which is one that will not be solved in 1.2.3 like the previous onces.

So now with our tax money government must fill up the huge hole these guys made and on top put money in alll kinds of efforts to create and to replace jobs .Not a simple cure to me.So who's gonna pay all that.We all if we like it or not.

Crude oil last days can't choose no direction ,so does CLL.The WTI price is the drive for CLL so as long this situation stays at almostsame point nothing much to do except if we should see a higher Total offer or a partner ,or a bid on CLL.
