Thanks bbqdays - very much appreciate your efforts in finding Jurek's post (I don't recall seeing the original post).

The Nov/08 and Feb 3rd prices of $30 and $28 were bookends to December's valley price of $17. (In Jan/09 it went to $23)

I reviewed the press releases again, and notice decrease production in POD1 was announced Dec 10, 2008, and ramp up announced Jan 21/08.

1) Would it be fair to assume that bitumen prices under $20 should curtail production?

2) Are we really so efficient to ramp up/down productionin in such a short timeframe with manageable costs?

This is very interesting because this makes CLL more flexible than I imagined.
