Bobert;
UTS has 474,196,226 shares and Connacher will have 418,892,957 Common Shares on a fully diluted basis) issued and outstanding after the sale.
UTS as you know has constantly commanded a higher share price than Connacher over the last several years on a weekly basis because their bitumen reserves are far greater plus PetroCanada and Teck are paying a large percentage of the developement costs of the Forthill Project. In addition, UTS' share price is fueled in part because it is constantly a takeover target while Connacher is not a takeover target. Connacher's shareholders own 100% of Connacher's projects whereas UTS' shareholders own 20% of the Fort Hills Project. As a shareholder it depends on what you want......real production with Connacher or speculative value with UTS.
Best Wishes; Scott
