MMagic I was reading your comments and gasped when I saw your huge loss here, then realized I've also lost a considerable amount ... don't have actuals because I buried my head in the sand in that respect. I finally saw the light and made quite a bit back in small Asian companies this year.
I still have a small position here and was thinking about my own aerospace industry with respect to Connacher. There's been talk of why some large companies with similar sizes and structures are valued more highly than others, and it often comes back to predictability. Some companies just have one thing after another, year after year, that affects their bottom line. Investors value predictability, so I think Connacher's moving in the right direction with respect to hedging. Predictability may be worth more from an investment standpoint than gambling on great returns or even taking a small loss.
