I remember that spike quite well. And although I have no proof whatsoever, I am fairly confident that the reason that the stock rose that high for a brief period was due to an intentionally engineered boost to support the $5.25 FT PP that came out shortly thereafter. (Oh, speaking of which, at least they did raise SOME capital at decent prices).

I got burned at the time by buying 5000 shares at about $5.15. Too bad that I hadn't sold my whole 40k at the top.
