CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
Absolutely, that is what a discussion forum is all about. I will gladly be wrong as I hold a large chunk of shares. Remember, at our current share count $3.50 per share is $1.34 billion. That is not chicken feed.
Brundall, I understand what you're trying to say. I had doubts before about the big price tag for Schaft Creek.
Based on the old numbers from 2008.
The NPV of SC was at $2.8 billion.
So say Elmer is able to release the BFS and the 120 days of back in started.
Teck has to spend 4x CUU expenditures ($70 million) to regain the 75% interest of Liard shares or Shaft Creek. Teck would have to spend $280 million to get 75% interest of a $2.8 billion mine.
Do you think that management at CUU would feel that it's ok to sell their 25% of the $2.8 billion asset for cheap? Especially now Teck has to arrange financing on their behalf too?
We have the assets, we have the catalyst in Teck. We just need to know more on how much Teck wants. Once that's all cleared up, the true value of SC will be exposed.
